Kit Digital: Red.es may audit how you used the subsidy

The application window for the Kit Digital subsidy is nearing its end, but you can still make it — register via our bot: https://t.me/KitDigitalBot to obtain €3,000 for digital services for your autónomo activity + a laptop. Deadline: 31/10/2025.

Many people who already received the subsidy — and those who hesitated to apply — wondered how the administration would control that the funded services were really delivered and used. Now we have the answer.

Red.es has begun a selective (sample-based) verification process of beneficiaries.

Below I explain in detail how the verification works and what you must prepare.

Note

Verification is selective (not everyone is audited)

How the procedure works (conducted in Spanish):

  1. A Red.es representative calls you and schedules a Zoom online meeting at a convenient time.
  2. On the agreed day you join the call; usually present are: the beneficiary, the digitalizing agent (service provider) representative, and the Red.es representative.
  3. You must show your TIE card (or other acceptable ID) to verify your identity.
  4. You must show a bank statement (or proof of payment) evidencing the payment of IVA (VAT) for the service (if the service was subject to VAT).
  5. You share your screen and demonstrate that you have active access to the solution delivered under the program.
⚠️
Warning

You cannot refuse to take part in the audit

⚠️
Warning

If you received a computer through the subsidy, do not remove the software delivered under the program (e.g. antivirus or security suite). Its absence can be treated as a breach of the subsidy conditions.

If you already removed it, contact the provider to restore/reinstall the licensed software.

They may also ask you additional questions:

  1. Did you find your service provider yourself or did they contact you first?
  2. Confirm that the email address on file actually belongs to you.
  3. Clarify from which date you started using the delivered services.

In my case we had two calls: in the first one I used the time to clarify my questions about the audit, so there wasn’t enough time left to verify the services and we had to schedule a second session.

What if I don’t speak Spanish?

If you don’t speak Spanish, they may contact you by email and suggest using available translation tools (e.g. online translator). This does not exempt you from the verification.

Could I face issues after the audit?

If the services were properly implemented, you have access, and you actually use them—there will be no problems. Apply via our bot to avoid any pitfalls: https://t.me/KitDigitalBot.

How long does the call last?

Usually no longer than 10 minutes.

From experience, there’s no need to worry: the verification is simple and friendly.

What are the eligibility requirements?

  1. Be registered in RETA (as autónomo) or operate as a company for at least 6 months at the time of application.
  2. Have no debts or outstanding compliance obligations with Hacienda (Tax Agency) or Social Security (not just unpaid amounts, but also no pending filings).
  3. Have fewer than 3 employees.
  4. Apply before 31/10/2025: https://t.me/KitDigitalBot
